Peter Pan Collar Dress - Burda #128 05/2011
I am currently taking the BurdaStyle Teaching Certification Course through BurdaStyle Academy. This dress was one of the lessons that we learned BurdaStyle core techniques on. I have one more project to complete before I will be certified. It's been an informative and fun way to learn new techniques, and I feel my sewing has definitely improved since I've started.
My favorite part of this dress was the fabric I chose from Joann. It's a beautiful rose gold jacquard, that is soft to touch and lightweight.
I also decided to add some beading to the collar to give it a little something extra.
Some of the techniques used to construct this dress were an invisible side zipper, hand sewn hem and sleeves, darts, gathered back, vent and a lined collar facing.
This dress was very fun to sew, and I thought it was a perfect dress for the Holidays!
