Sewing McCall's pattern #7726

I was so on the fence about this pattern, but I kept seeing such cute versions pop up all over Instagram, so I figured I would give it a try. I love the paper bag waist and tie on this pattern, and I can't pass up a high waisted anything, because it's flattering on my figure. ;)

I picked up this tropical linen-look fabric from JoAnn. It's a weightier fabric than most linen, so it holds its form really well for pants.

I didn't have to make any adjustments on these pants, although the pleats around the waist would give you a lot of room to adjust in or out if you needed to. I did take up the hem a little more than recommended because I have short legs and a longer torso, which is another reason I love a high waisted pant, it gives the illusion of longer legs!

I had to wear these pants a few times before I became really comfortable in them. It's a totally different silhouette than I'm used to, but I totally dig these pants now! Here's to trying new things!
