Free Pattern Review: The Peppermint Jumpsuit by In the Folds

I love a good free sewing pattern, and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this pattern by In the Folds on Peppermint Mag's site. They actually have quite a few free patterns I would love to try.

I did a little bit of research before I got started and came across some reviews that stated it's kind of hard to get in and out of. So I opted to put the invisible zip in the front, rather than the back. It's super easy to get in and out of this way. I did have to adjust the facings a bit to accommodate, but it was simple to do. I ended up just cutting the back facing on the fold, and the front facing I cut into two pieces to make work with the zipper.

I also did not hem the pants because I loved the selvage edge on the fabric that I chose, and wanted to showcase it. I also shortened the pants a good 4-5 inches.

I picked up some Aztec Jacquard fabric from JoAnn that I thought was so good for Fall. This is not a lightweight fabric, but it's not too heavy either. It's a comfortable weight and I can't wait to wear it a ton this Fall. I think it would be cute with a little turtleneck too. Or with a cardigan overtop.

Overall, a nice free pattern! I would recommend it, and I would definitely recommend moving the zip to the front. :)
